Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

For most Sprinter conversion projects, we generally recommend captain seats with a total width of:

63–65 cm / 24.8–25.6 inches

This size matches the larger Sprinter interior and gives the completed cabin a more balanced and premium appearance.

Suitable options include the Crystal Throne and Ori Series.

Captain seats narrower than 63 cm are generally not recommended for a Sprinter because they may look too small inside the cabin.

Ford Transit and Honda Odyssey

For many Ford Transit and Honda Odyssey projects, we generally recommend captain seats with a total width of:

60–62 cm / 23.6–24.4 inches

These vehicles usually require more attention to aisle space and rear-row access.

Seats that are too wide may make the cabin feel crowded and make it difficult for passengers to move to the rear seats.

The final size should still be confirmed according to the vehicle version, seating layout and finished interior panels.

How to Measure for a Rear Bench Seat

A rear bench seat should be designed according to the actual rear interior space of the vehicle.

These measurements help us determine the correct bench width and design the lower frame to fit around the wheel arches.

Pay Special Attention to the Wheel Arches

The wheel arches extend into the cabin and reduce the usable installation space.

When a captain seat or rear bench is installed near this area, the base or lower frame may require special treatment.

Clear rear-area photos and accurate wheel-arch measurements help us design a better-fitting seat and reduce installation problems.

Custom Seat Widths Are Available

The recommended widths above are suitable for most common projects, but they are not fixed limits.
